American actor Robert Redford has passed away

American actor and director Robert Redford has died at the age of 89.

Cindi Berger, Redford's public relations manager, made a statement to the US press on the subject.

"Robert Redford passed away on September 16, 2025, at his home in Sundance, Utah, in the mountains where he loved so much, surrounded by those he loved. He will be deeply missed," he said in a statement.

The cause of death of Robert Redford, one of the important actors of American cinema and Oscar-winning director, has not been disclosed.

Redford, who rose to fame with the film "The Endless Death," was 89 years old.

The actor last appeared before his fans as Secretary Alexander Pierce in the movie "Avengers: Endgame."
