Children of migrants who failed to successfully pass the Russian language test for admission to Russian schools more than three times must return to their homeland. This was stated by the head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs Yaroslav Nilov in an interview with TASS .

"If a child is not capable of learning, it is necessary not only to provide the opportunity to take the exam several times, but to set certain restrictions. Three attempts - and if there is no result, then it is necessary to return home and wait for the parents there," he noted.

Nilov emphasized that the deputies made the right decision by introducing the law on testing the children of migrants for knowledge of the language.

In his opinion, the absence of such measures will lead to students who are incapable of learning distracting teachers and lowering the level of education for Russian children.

Since April, new rules for admitting migrant children to schools have come into force in Russia. Now, they are not admitted to educational institutions without successfully passing the Russian language exam. On May 14, State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin reported that out of 1,762 people wishing to take the test, 81% were denied acceptance of documents.

Earlier it was reported that the number of migrants at Russian construction sites had dropped to half a million.
