The hypercar harvest continues, with the new Garagisti & Co. GP1 joining the ranks.

Every so often, we hear the opinion that current combustion engines are the last. Such statements have been repeated for at least a decade. What's the result? The harvest of super sports cars is in full swing. Gordon Murray sold out of the T.50 and T.33 models. Pagani has empty warehouses after the Utopia. We await the ultra-exotic Nilu27, unveiled over a year ago. Garagisti & Co. joins this ranks with the GP1.
The latest gem comes from Great Britain and what it has in common with the other cars mentioned is the central engine, gearbox and… technological purism.
Let's start with the heart of the car: the engine. Designed by the Italians at Italtecnica, the 6.6-liter V12 engine . Turbo? No. Electric motor assist? Where's that! Naturally aspirated asceticism at its finest, capable of generating 800 hp at 9,000 rpm!

Power and torque (700 Nm) will be delivered to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, of course. The gearbox is manufactured by the experienced Xtrac – their solutions can also be found in Gordon Murray's cars. As with the British genius, the focus here is on maximum weight reduction – the car is said to weigh just 1000 kg.
Technological crème de la crèmeThe components responsible for the handling are also top-notch: Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes. All mounted under a carbon monocoque designed by Dexet Technologies . The same specialists will be responsible for the aerodynamics, which, combined with the elegant bodywork by Angel Guerra, will ensure effective downforce and the right amount of style.
The styling echoes the best sports car designs of all time: the Lamborghini Countach, the Mercedes C111, and the Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale (with its characteristic rims).

The cabin layout is very reminiscent of the Ferrari Roma . The interior is screen-free, so, as Bugatti once emphasized after the Chiron's launch, it won't age too quickly. Carbon fiber seats and cognac leather upholstery promise a combination of good grip and luxury.

Limited to just 25 units, this luxury will command a hefty price tag – nearly £3 million . Owners of the first half of the run will have the honor of participating in the final design phase of this spectacular car. Let's just hope it hits the road from the drawing board (and CAD)!
