Taylor Swift has revealed details of her upcoming 12th album, "The Life of a Showgirl." The artist's album will be released on October 3rd. The album will feature a total of 12 tracks, only one of which is a duet: the title track, "The Life of a Showgirl," recorded with Sabrina Carpenter.

Taylor Swift fans have long speculated that the singer was preparing to release a new album. Many thought Swift would delve into her earlier album, to which she recently regained the rights. However, this wasn't to be. In between concerts, the artist worked on new music, the premiere of which she announced on her partner's podcast.

When a brief teaser for the album appeared on Tuesday, one could only assume it would be released in the fall. Now, the 14-time Grammy winner has returned to fans with details about the album. It will be released on October 3rd. The 12th album will consist of 12 tracks produced by Swedes Max Martin and Shellback, as well as Swift herself. The published tracklist reveals that Swift only invited Sabrina Carpenter to collaborate on the album. The artists collaborated on one track, the title track, "The Life of a Showgirl."

Speaking on the "New Heights" podcast, hosted by Travis Kelce —Swift's partner in real life—and his brother, Jason, the singer shared some insights into the making of the album. In her conversation with her brothers, Swift reminisced about her European tour last summer, during which she flew to and from Sweden between shows to work on the album.

"I was touring, playing three shows in a row, then I had three days off. During that time, I flew to Sweden to work on the album and then went back on tour. At that point in the tour, I was physically exhausted, but at the same time, I was really pumped up and excited to create," she admitted.
