Polish tourists attacked in the Canary Islands. Shouting and pushing

The situation took place on Fuerteventura, one of the most popular Spanish islands. Going there has its good and bad sides. On the one hand, we are certain that the place is particularly beautiful and attractive, on the other, we know that the locals are increasingly less positive about tourists there. There have been many loud protests against mass tourism or even direct attacks on holidaymakers - this applies to many islands, including Tenerife. This is what happened a few days ago. Resting in a van turned into a nightmare.
Attack on Poles in the Canary IslandsThe situation became known, among other things, thanks to a recording published online in the form of an Instagram story. It appeared on the account of travelers operating under the name @foxesineden. It showed that the Poles were attacked by the inhabitants of the island. The situation occurred at night, when the couple was already resting in their van. Their little daughter was with them.
"We reached the very end of the island. The south of Fuerteventura, beautiful, in places untouched and... terrifying. We were standing there with two other campers. Suddenly a team on a motorbike and in an old Seat started doing donuts next to us, gassing us, shining lights in our windows. I managed to say "check what's going on" and suddenly boom." - commented Zofia Samsel. The travelers described the situation as tense - there was no shortage of shoving and squabbling.
It is difficult to deduce from the recording what the exact reason for the argument was, but it is clear that the residents were aggressive.
It was necessary to escapeThe situation was becoming increasingly tense. "The merry crew drove up to some house, then they started heading in our direction again," we read in the description of the incident. Ultimately, it ended with an escape in the middle of the night. The couple did not want to take any risks, especially since they had a child with them. "The only thing we thought about was being safe," we read. The Poles also added that it was the first time they had experienced something like this, and they had been traveling for five years.
Travelers also gave advice to others. They wrote that they absolutely advise against staying overnight in the Playa El Puertito area. It turns out that this is a rather dangerous place, where tourists have been attacked before. Tourists with campers are especially unwelcome.
"This Fuerta is... I think we're leaving. Too windy and too socially cheerful. We were rather unpleasantly welcomed here, or said goodbye in this situation." - the Pole ended the recording.
