The Magic of Summer Evenings. Byron and the Risorgimento, Open Doors to Museums

The Magic of Summer Evenings. Byron and the Risorgimento, Open Doors to Museums

The charm of the Byron and Risorgimento Museums in the play of shadows and lights of the evening, the narration of the English poet and the Carbonari, of Garibaldi and the Countess Guiccioli in the magical context of summer evenings, in an enchanting palace and in the noble court that enchants visitors from all over the world and envoys from every latitude, from Indonesia to Canada, from Mexico to the United Kingdom.

This is the great news of July and August for tourists and visitors to Ravenna, who will find the Byron and Risorgimento Museums open in the evenings every Wednesday, from 2 July to 27 August, until 10pm, as part of the 'Mosaico di notte' programme.

An opportunity to visit the Museums in the cool rooms of the Palace, to stop at the Taverna Byron where the poet had his zoo and where he hid the weapons he himself bought for the Carbonari, and at the bar l'Incontro, under the porticoes that hosted, among tens of thousands of visitors in these first six months of the Museums' life, also the 'Literary Reception' of the Queen's Reading Room of Queen Camilla, on 10 April last.

Given the great success of visits, of institutional guests, including top-level international ones, and of worldwide media attention recorded in the first months of life, the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna, which strongly desired, supported and created the Museums, has decided to exceptionally extend the openings for the entire summer period on the Wednesdays of 'Mosaico di Notte'.

The new opening hours for these days will therefore be from 10 am to 10 pm: twelve hours full of culture, literature and history in the most modern and inclusive museums in the world, highly appreciated by all ages for the narration capable of involving all visitors, from the youngest children to expert scholars of Byron and literary Romanticism, thanks to immersive reality and digital content.
