Iberia will offer free high-speed internet on all its flights from 2026
Iberia has announced the launch of a new onboard connectivity system that will allow all its passengers to enjoy free, high-speed WiFi during the flight.

The service will be made possible through a strategic agreement between IAG, the group to which the airline belongs, and Starlink, the satellite internet network developed by SpaceX.
Starting in 2026, the service will be available on all short-, medium-, and long-haul flights, offering a home-like connection experience with download speeds of up to 450 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 70 Mbps. Customers will be able to access streaming platforms, cloud-based work tools, or online games without interruption, regardless of the route or the aircraft's location.

The project is part of Iberia's Flight Plan 2030, which includes a global investment of 6 billion euros aimed at boosting digitalization, artificial intelligence and innovation in all areas of the company.
With this initiative, Iberia affirms that it is reinforcing its commitment to connectivity, efficiency and sustainability , consolidating its position as a leader in the technological transformation of European aviation.

It's worth noting that Iberia currently operates a direct route from Bogotá to Madrid. This route has three daily flights (21 weekly).
