Princess Charlotte and Kate Middleton Have an Adorable Twin Moment in Matching Blue Looks

On Saturday, Kate Middleton and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, wore matching blue ensembles to the annual Trooping the Colour event, which serves as the public celebration of King Charles’s birthday—though his actual birthday is in November. The Princess of Wales was wearing an aquamarine coat dress with asymmetrical ivory lapels created by Catherine Walker, accessorizing with a matching wide-brimmed hat designed by Juliette Botterill millinery, and Queen Elizabeth’s Bahrain Pearl Drop earrings for added sparkle.

The ten-year-old princess was in a slightly paler shade dress with a white bow at her waist and a pair of white flats. She had her hair half up and half down, and appeared to be delighted to take the carriage from Buckingham Palace beside her mother.

Charlotte’s older brother, Prince George, and younger brother, Prince Louis, were also at the parade, wearing navy blue suits with red ties that matched Prince William’s bright red military uniform.

Kate’s dress was seemingly also a reference to the late Princess Diana, who wore a similar look by Catherine Walker in 1992 on a visit to India, as well as a pair of pearl drop earrings.

This was the Princess of Wales’s first Trooping the Colour since announcing her cancer had gone into remission in January. She shared photos of a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital, where she received her treatment throughout 2024.

“It is a relief to now be in remission and I remain focussed on recovery,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead.”

Kate did attend the Trooping the Colour parade in 2024, despite being in treatment.
