Drone takes off for patient waiting for medicine when village road is closed

When a citizen living in the Saydaş Neighborhood of Piri Village ran out of medicine, the closure of the village road due to the snowfall that had been going on for 2 weeks caused a big problem. Thereupon, the villagers decided to use drones to supply medicine .

COULD NOT REACH THE VILLAGE DUE TO SNOW

The citizen, who ran out of medicine, asked for help from the former village headman, Harun Atalay. Since the village road was closed to traffic, Atalay asked for support from his friend Hikmet Aydın, who lives in another village. Hikmet Aydın obtained the medicine from the district center, but could not reach the village because the road was closed. Thereupon, Aydın found an interesting solution and connected the bag containing the medicine to the drone next to him. He flew the drone and delivered the medicine to the citizens waiting for him in the village.

The citizen, who cut the rope from the drone and got his medicine, waved at the drone's camera and thanked it.

Describing the incident, Hikmet Aydın said, "As you know, there are places in our villages where the snow depth is 2 meters. Upon the request of our former village headman Harun Atalay, we first reached the place we could reach with our vehicle for our citizen who had run out of medicine in the village. Since we could not reach him, we covered a distance of approximately 5.5 kilometers with a drone and sent him the medicine. In this way, we were able to deliver the medicine of our sick uncle to him. Our roads are closed. Here, we can go to a certain place even with a tractor. However, the roads of Piri village, Saydaş Neighborhood are closed to transportation. We delivered the medicine of our uncle to him with a drone. We are happy, it was nice for us to help our citizen."
