Mansur Yavaş: Justice will definitely be served one day

The 102nd anniversary of Ankara becoming the capital was celebrated with a ceremony and reception organized by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB).
Speaking at the event, which also saw the reopening of the Kocatepe Cultural Center, ABB President Mansur Yavaş said, "I wholeheartedly believe in the rule of law and that justice will one day be served."
Yavaş stated that Ankara's decision to become the capital was not merely a choice of city but a "symbol of independence and the Republic," adding, "Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms saw Ankara not only as a geographical center but also as a moral, intellectual, and conscientious center. That will has continued to live on with justice, freedom, and equality for 102 years."
"ANKARA IS NOT JUST STONE AND CONCRETE"
Yavaş stated that they are working to transform Ankara into a modern city that both preserves its history, saying, "During our nearly seven-year tenure, we have created 20 million square meters of new green space, restored historical structures, and provided equal service without discrimination. In fact, we are also restoring the soul of this city."
"THE STRENGTH OF A COUNTRY IS JUSTICE"
Emphasizing democracy in his speech, Yavaş made the following statements:
We believe that democracy must be lived out not only at the ballot box, but also through justice, equality, transparency, and conscience. The true strength of a country is measured by the fairness of its institutions, the honesty of its leaders, and the freedom of its citizens. We will not allow any decision, any reckoning, to tarnish the reputation of our democracy.
Yavaş reiterated his belief in the rule of law, saying, "No position, no signature, no seat is above justice and the conscience of the people."
"ANKARA IS THE HEART OF THE REPUBLIC"
At the end of his speech, Yavaş stated that Ankara is "the capital of justice, conscience, and goodness," and commemorated Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms. The reception concluded with a performance by the Lieutenants, a screening of the documentary "Capital of Rebirth from the Ashes," and a musical performance titled "Ankara, the Light of the Republic."
