In Russia, they want to tighten control over the work of driving schools, as an increase in the number of accidents due to the fault of young drivers has been recorded. The corresponding measures are being developed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with Rosobrnadzor, TASS reports.
“On the instructions of the government commission on road safety, Rosobrnadzor, together with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, is working on the issue of developing measures to strengthen control over the activities of driving schools against the backdrop of an increase in the number of accidents caused by young drivers,” the report says.
It is assumed that one of the effective measures will be unscheduled inspections. The initiators are working on new risk indicators for this type of organization.
Rosobrnadzor is currently consulting with the Prosecutor General's Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. After that, changes will be made to the regulatory legal acts of driving schools. The timeframe for the implementation of the new regulations has not been announced.
