Movies in churches and palaces? Black Cat brings summer of outdoor cinema

The Black Cat Cinema initiative is back in Lisbon this summer with open-air cinema sessions, some of which will be held in unusual locations such as churches, palaces or bars.
At the Igreja da Graça, hidden on the "top of the highest hill in the city", before the end of June you will still have time to see 'Crazy, Stupid Love' on Tuesday, starting at 9 pm. The following day, Wednesday, 'Midnight in Paris' will be shown, and the session is already sold out.
From July to October, in this iconic Lisbon church, you can watch films such as 'Grease', 'The Lion King', 'Love Actually', 'La La Land', 'Life Is Beautiful', 'The Matrix' or 'Interstellar'.
At Palácio do Grilo, this month, only 'The Worst Person in the World' will be shown, next Monday, June 30th. However, until the end of the season, you can watch 'City of God', 'Taxi Driver', 'Dirty Dancing', 'Parasite', 'Poor Creatures' or 'The Wolf of Wall Street'.
The third location that hosts these open-air cinema sessions is the Bicho D'água bar, on Praia de São João, in Costa da Caparica, in Almada. Far from the crowds and "hidden among the dunes".
These beach sessions are sold out until the end of July, but from August until September 19th you will still have the opportunity to watch several films while eating seafood, burgers or gourmet snacks, accompanied by "tailor-made cocktails".
The program for this bar in Costa da Caparica includes films such as 'Top Gun: Maverick', 'Footloose' and 'Aftersun'.
The ticket price is 13.68 euros.
Although the films only start at 9pm, the events start at 7pm, with "food and drinks at sunset" and from 8pm there is live music.
"In case of light rain, the event will go ahead. In case of heavy rain, we will postpone the show and all tickets may be refunded or will be valid for the new date," reads the Black Cat Cinema website.
