The end of Ryanair's monopoly in ModlinWizz Air's decision to return to Modlin may be related to an earlier move by Ryanair, which signed a multi-year agreement with the airport near Warsaw .
The provisions include, among others, a commitment to increase passenger traffic from 1.5 to 5 million per year by 2030, as well as increasing the number of aircraft at the base from four to seven and increasing the number of available connections to 25.
Air Arabia planes are also expected to arrive in Modlin soon, allowing travelers to fly to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
