Are Polish beaches better than those in Croatia and Lithuania? Tourists flock here in droves.

Coastal towns like Świnoujście and Międzyzdroje are particularly famous for their large numbers of foreign tourists in Poland. So many Germans visit in the summer that even menus in restaurants are written in two languages. It turns out that Lithuanians are also increasingly appreciating our Baltic Sea. Although they share the same coastline, they feel more at home on the Polish part of the coast.
Lithuanians storm the Polish Baltic SeaThe Lithuanian portal bilis.lt reports on an interesting phenomenon. Journalists note that tourists choose Poland for its high comfort, prices, and wide range of services. Since travel abroad is not far away and connections are good, they take advantage of these opportunities. This has a rather negative impact on the Lithuanian domestic market. Occupancy rates this year are expected to be so low that they resemble those from the pandemic.
"This isn't a coincidence or a passing fad. Comparing prices, comfort, and the range of services, the Polish seaside seems like a more logical choice for many families [...]. The main reason cited by vacationers is simple – prices. A weekend stay for two in Palanga can cost the same as in Poland, with full board, a spa, and a swimming pool," bilis.lt writes.
It's worth noting that until recently, the Lithuanian resort of Palanga was associated with a luxurious dream for tourists. Today, many people are willing to abandon it for Poland. They consider our corners quieter, more affordable, and full of undiscovered treasures.
This delights Lithuanians in PolandWhich resorts do Lithuanian tourists choose, and what delights them most? According to bilis.lt, one of their favorite destinations is located just half an hour from Kołobrzeg. It's the summer village of Pleśna. It's incredibly peaceful, and the beach offers much more space than in popular cities. "Just 400 meters from the sea, the area offers a completely different holiday experience than Palanga or Croatia ," the website writes.
The Polish village is beloved for its pine forest and dunes, among other things. The cliffs, clear water, soft sand, and lack of crowds are also impressive. "Even in the summer season, this place doesn't seem overcrowded with vacationers," we read. Lithuanians note that for more attractions, they often head to Gąski, where they can visit a lighthouse, among other attractions . They also enjoy visiting Ustronie Morskie.
