Poles have chosen their dream vacation destination. Interest is growing.

Greece is one of southern Europe's most popular tourist destinations. The cradle of ancient civilization, this diverse island nation offers something for everyone – whether you want to explore UNESCO World Heritage sites or relax on beautiful beaches surrounded by unspoiled nature.
One of the top destinations in EuropeTravel and World Tour notes that Greece remains consistently popular among European tourists planning to travel. Twenty-four percent of respondents who had never visited the country expressed a desire to do so. This places Greece ahead of many other well-known European destinations. Among those who have already traveled, 16 percent plan to return.
The country is the second most popular travel destination among Britons (8% of British tourists planning a trip). Among French, Belgians, and Italians, it ranked fourth, attracting 6% of French and Belgian tourists and 5% of Italian tourists.
Tourists plan to come here... and come backInterest is also growing among Poles. This year, for the first time, Greece emerged as a dream destination for Polish tourists, alongside Spain and Italy . Nine percent of Polish respondents plan to visit the country. This represents a 4 percent increase compared to previous surveys. However, the website does not provide details on how many respondents are planning a trip to the Iberian and Italian Peninsulas.
According to Tourism-Review data, the country is preparing for a historic record number of visitors in 2025. This year, it could welcome over 40 million foreign travelers, up from 40.7 million last year.
Two years ago, the Greek islands were also the busiest destinations in the European Union (based on the number of tourist overnight stays per capita). Mykonos and Rhodes were the most popular destinations. Overtourism and how to manage it are a growing challenge for the country's authorities. Among the first initiatives implemented are fees charged to cruise ship passengers. From June 1st to September 30th, the port exit fee on Mykonos and Santorini will be €20. In other ports, it will be €5.
