A new health resort may be opening in Poland. Plans include a hotel and swimming pool.

Spas are not only popular places for health rehabilitation for seniors. A growing number of younger tourists enjoy spending their holidays there, enjoying treatments surrounded by beautiful nature. More spas may soon appear on the map of Polish spas.
A new health resort is being planned in PolandThe presence of mineral waters with healing properties was confirmed in Ciężkowice, in the Małopolska region, almost three years ago. Recently, the town's mayor, Jowita Jurkiewicz-Drąg, revealed in an interview with Radio Kraków that the town is making progress in extracting them.
"We are designing infrastructure and selecting equipment that will enable us to extract and distribute water. The water in the park will no longer be ordinary water—it will become medicinal, sulfur-based water that will improve our health. We hope to finalize this plan in 2026," she said.
Water with these properties is intended for inhalation, specifically for respiratory tract health and the treatment of rheumatism. Initially, it will flow to the Spa Park. This will require obtaining a concession for its extraction. Later, a certificate confirming its beneficial properties will be required – crucial for investors and the transformation of the town into a typical spa destination.
Ciężkowice wants to attract spa visitors"This document is absolutely essential for us to be able to talk about spa treatment in Ciężkowice. With it in hand, we're reaching a higher level – and we're already hearing that attracting investors interested in using our water shouldn't be a problem," noted Dariusz Zięcina, responsible for investments in the municipality. A hotel and swimming pool could be built here.
Ciężkowice is already a good destination for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city. The spa park, with its graduation tower, mineral baths , and café, is popular with tourists. The Petrified City nature reserve, with its rock outcrops, is also located very close to the center. Admission to the latter requires a ticket.
