A clean lake with warm water. Experts believe it is the best in Poland

We mentioned one of the exceptionally clean lakes in Poland a few days ago. At that time, it was about a gem in Mazovia, the Kąpielisko Kąck . It can definitely compete with places like the Zegrze Reservoir or Glinianki. This time, we come to you with an even bigger hit. A lake that was hailed this year as the clearest in the entire country. Are you curious where to find it?
The cleanest lake in Poland 2025We are talking about Lake Powidzkie located in Wielkopolska. In the summer of 2025, it is to be the biggest hit, ideal for bathing and relaxation. The water there is clear for over 10 meters, thanks to which we will feel exceptional and safe. It is also easy to take magical photos or videos.
The cleanest lake in Poland is hidden among green forests in a peaceful and quiet area. It is located in the Powidz Landscape Park and is partly covered by the Natura 2000 zone. According to many people, this body of water can even compete with the Alpine ones - as the portal well.pl points out. If you want to feel like you are on the Adriatic or in the Dolomites without going abroad, all you have to do is visit this region of Poland.
Importantly, the lake will not only be clean, but also exceptionally warm, because the water in it heats up quickly. At the beginning of June 2025, the temperature there was recorded at around 17.5°C, and in the peak season you can count on 22–26°C.
Lake Powidzkie assessed by expertsThe opinion that Lake Powidzkie is exceptionally transparent compared to the entire country did not come out of nowhere. Important information is shared by specialists from the Institute of Meteorology and Water Management, a state research institution that monitors, analyzes and forecasts meteorological and hydrological phenomena in our country.
They assessed the water clarity at an impressive 10.38 meters, which makes this lake absolutely unrivaled. A result of over 8 meters is considered a luxury result and is rarely seen in Europe. Water quality measurements were taken using a so-called Secchi disk. This is a simple device that allows you to assess how deep you can see the bottom of the reservoir.
The good condition of the water in the Wielkopolska lake is due to the lack of industry, a small amount of intensive agriculture, natural shores and a sandy bottom. Since it is also part of a protected area, its ecosystem is effectively protected from urban chaos. If you go to this place, you have a guarantee that the views will delight you.
