Why Kendall Jenner Didn’t Walk in the 2025 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Gigi and Bella Hadid were back on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway this evening, but one of their famous friends who modeled with them when they made their debuts about 10 years ago was missing.

Kendall Jenner, who first walked the show in 2015, wasn’t on the runway tonight or spotted in the audience. While she hasn’t spoken about the event or her decision to miss it, she has made recent comments suggesting modeling isn’t her main career focus.

In fact, Jenner, who runs 818 Tequila, was last seen in Texas this weekend for a brand event. The Dallas Observer reported the model spent some time at Happiest Hour for a “Tailgate with 818” party on October 11.

Jenner doesn’t do runway shows very often. She last modeled for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show back in 2018:

She recently told Vogue that she was considering doing just house design as a career. “I swear to God, I’m going to stop everything and just design homes,” she said. “I’m not kidding.”

She has also coped with anxiety before runway shows. In 2019, she told ELLE, “I used to get really nervous during fashion shows. I feel like when you’re walking on the runway—I say this from experience—you’re just thinking, ‘Walk straight! Walk straight!’—and you try to just focus on that. Especially me, because I used to get really nervous when I knew people in the audience. I would try and force myself to zone out. But now, I’m cool with it—I’ve actually gotten so much better at it that I like knowing who’s there, and I’ll kind of peek over to see who’s in the audience before I come out. But it took a little while to get to that point.”

Jenner walked just one runway during Paris Fashion Week for L’Oréal’s Le Défilé: A Celebration of Women’s Empowerment. The event was on Sept. 29, 2025.

She told ELLE UK on October 10 that she was most excited to spend time with the brand’s other ambassadors who modeled in the show. “L’Oréal has done such a good job of curating an incredible group of women, so I’m grateful to be a part of that,” she said. “We usually shoot separately, so to have this moment once a year where we all come together feels really special. I love being able to catch up with all of the women.”

She added, “There’s a sisterhood between all of us; all these women are really inspiring and you can feel it during the show too. I grew up with a ton of sisters, and this feels like an extension of that.”
