Salignac-Eyvigues: a day to relive the traditions of yesteryear

By Didier Rivet
The Salignac-Eyvigues Événementiel (SEE) association is organizing its traditional "Old-Fashioned Day" on Thursday, August 7, from 10 a.m. to midnight. The program includes numerous activities and a country meal with music. Passionate artisans and artists will be present to revive the skills of yesteryear: pottery, jewelry, enamels, macramé, ironwork, miniatures, etc. This year, there's a spectacular new feature: chainsaw sculpture.
Throughout the day, the Champ de Mars Square and the Town Hall Square will be alive with entertainment. Demonstrations of traditional wheat threshing and flail threshing will be offered. The evening will conclude in a warm and friendly atmosphere with a large country meal accompanied by music.
