A judicial investigation has also been opened into the capture and distribution of child pornography. The 26-year-old woman appeared Wednesday evening at the Clichy-sous-Bois police station, also located in Seine-Saint-Denis, to report alleged acts she had committed, the prosecutor's office previously stated. She had notably implicated a man.
TikTok AlertThe latter, aged 28 and with whom she had been in a relationship, is accused of sexual assault by instigation, the prosecutor added. The young woman said she was under his influence.
The investigation followed the posting of several videos on the TikTok platform warning of "a scandal in a hospital in the 93rd arrondissement." In one of these posts, a man facing the camera claimed that "two people who work with infants (...) are having fun mistreating Black children," before adding that it was "sexual in nature."
"Now is the time to move forward and bring justice to the streets," he said in the video, which was viewed more than 1.4 million times as of Saturday afternoon. According to the prosecutor's office, "there is no racial element in the act; one of the children is white, the other black." Two victims have so far been identified in the video.
“A serious personal deviation”In a press release issued Friday, the management of the Grand Paris Nord-Est territorial hospital group indicated that "this nurse worked exclusively in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Montreuil hospital," which cares for babies born prematurely, and did not work in the maternity ward.
"The actions of this nurse, if confirmed by the police investigation currently underway, represent a serious personal error that the hospital strongly condemns. They are in no way a collective service practice," added the management of the GHT GPNE.
The rumor quickly caused a stir on Wednesday and Thursday, with "worried mothers calling the facility even though they had sometimes given birth there a year ago," the hospital group's management lamented. The nurse in question "has been suspended as a precautionary measure pending the outcome of the police investigation," according to the GHT GPNE.
