Lyon: The Léon Bérard Center's solidarity walk against cancer returns on September 28

The Léon Bérard Center in Lyon is holding its 6th edition of the Scintillante on September 28. Two races benefit cancer research.
For its 6th edition, the sporting and charity event benefiting cancer research at the Léon Bérard Center, La Scintillante, returns on September 28. This year's program includes two courses in the heart of Lyon, accessible to all, with the option of being timed. They will take place at the Tête d'Or Park (6th arrondissement), with a 5-kilometer walk or a 9-kilometer run.
Registration is now open on the event website and will close on September 27th at midnight, subject to availability. Two options are available: the "Ambassador" option is completely free, provided that a minimum of €100 in donations is collected from your friends and family for the center on a dedicated fundraising page, and the "Friendly" option allows you to immediately confirm your participation by making a donation to the Léon Bérard Center upon registration. Registration fees are €35 before May 31st (including a €20 donation), €40 before July 31st (including a €25 donation), and €45 until September 27th (including a €30 donation).
After raising €340,000 last year, the Léon Bérard Center hopes to reach €350,000 this year. As a reminder, cancer is the leading cause of death in France (160,000 deaths per year) and affects nearly 400,000 people each year.
