Greater Périgueux: The League Against Cancer awards 120,000 euros to Aquitaine researchers

Prefect Marie Aubert welcomed the hundred people present and recalled the importance of research and prevention in the field of cancer, stating that "40% of cancers can be avoided."

The president detailed the League's four missions. These include clinical, epidemiological, and fundamental research, as well as support for young researchers. "Thank you to the researchers for being here this evening to describe their research projects and their progress in simple terms. Thank you for advancing cancer research and giving hope to our patients," concluded Catherine Galvagnon.
