What to do in Lyon this weekend? Top tips from May 16th to 18th

Museums, theater, comedy... Lyon Capitale has selected for you the outings not to be missed this weekend from Friday, May 16 to Sunday, May 18.
From Friday, May 16th to Sunday, May 18th, the 48 Hours of Urban Agriculture are back throughout the Lyon area. The highlight of this weekend will take place on Saturday at Tête d'Or Park, within the Village of Initiatives, with the presence of around fifteen producers and agri-urban stakeholders. Otherwise, numerous activities will be offered: walks, visits to farms and gardens, fun workshops, neighborhood festivals, and more. Some activities may require prior registration. With some exceptions, they are all free.

Experience a cultural night thanks to the European Night of Museums on Saturday, May 17. The 21st edition of this event will allow you to explore Lyon's museums and discover, in most of them, special activities and events. The Museum of Fine Arts, for example, will be open from 7 p.m. to midnight. The same goes for the Center for the History of the Resistance and Deportation, which will offer workshops and cooperative games.

The company Les Estivants will present The Saga of Molière at the Tréteaux d'Irigny theater on Saturday, May 17, at 8:30 p.m. Inspired by Mikhail Bulgakov's Roman de Monsieur Molière , this story presented by Johana Giacardi's troupe takes on the author's life in a crazy and incredible way. Tickets cost 8.50 euros for Irigny residents, 11.50 euros for outsiders.

Now for the humor! The Lions of Laughter Festival, celebrating its 10th edition, will be held on Saturday, May 17th at the Bourse du Travail in Lyon to present its 12 selected comedian prodigies. The finalists will compete on Saturday evening, beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets cost €16.50 in the second category and €31.50 in the first category.

Décines is preparing to experience a weekend of comic book entertainment with its BDécines festival, a must-see since its inception in 2000. Nearly 40 authors will be present at the Toboggan cultural center on Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th, to immerse you in the world of the 9th art. Organized by the Léo Lagrange center, this festival also includes activities, guided tours, and exhibitions. Admission is free.
