Discover the mills of Dordogne

Discover the mills of Dordogne
Several mills open their doors during the weekend. DL archives

On Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th, the Dordogne mills will open their doors. This is an opportunity to learn more about these exceptional sites.

In addition to the European Mill and Millstone Heritage Days, the Perigord Friends of Mills association will be holding its annual Mill Festival this Saturday, May 17th and Sunday, May 18th. Featuring various tours related to the different colors of the Périgord, these days will allow those who wish to visit these buildings that have shaped the industrial history of our beautiful department.

For example, the Périgord Blanc circuit will allow you to discover the windmills of Saint-Jean-de-Côle, Montagrier, Tocane, La Tour-Blanche, Neuvic-sur-l'Isle and Saint-Vincent-de-Connezac. A wide range of activities will be offered, such as watercolor exhibitions, boat trips, and tastings of walnut, hazelnut, and almond oil. Alone, with friends, or family, this event will be an opportunity to experience unique moments, learn while having fun, and become an expert on wind and water mills.

You are not available this weekend? No problem, a make-up session will take place on June 28 and 29.
