Around 4,500 spectators were welcomed in the opera truck set up by the Lyon Opera and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region between January and March 2025.
Since its premiere on December 9, 2024, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region's traveling opera, Le sang du glacier, has given five performances for the general public, three for school groups, and four off-site. " The show was a resounding success, achieving an overall attendance rate of 91% ," the community rejoices.

Subsequently, an opera truck toured the region to represent this show. For this first experiment, the Lyon Opera rented a truck adapted for two months from the L'Absente company to accommodate the traveling opera. In total, nine municipalities (including eight in the region) and seven departments were visited by the traveling opera.
This represents a total of 43 performances, including 13 solar performances (middle and high schools), and approximately 4,500 spectators welcomed. The project also enabled the investment of nearly fifty permanent positions at the Lyon Opera, the local authority indicates.
