Wingo increases its international capacity with new routes for the mid-season

Low-cost airline Wingo recently announced that it will expand its international flight offerings during the mid-year peak season.
The company will add 33,000 seats on five international routes, representing approximately 180 more flights, between June and August. In total, capacity will increase by 18 percent during these months.
Additional chairs will begin to become available during the week of June 16 , with staggered starts based on the start of each seasonal route.

The five routes that will be reactivated are: Bogotá - Cancún; Bogotá - Curaçao; Medellín - Cancún; Medellín - Curaçao ; and Cali - Aruba.
“For 2025, Wingo continues working to offer a network product tailored to the needs and preferences of our travelers; therefore, the reactivation of these five routes, focused on the peak holiday season , demonstrates not only our understanding of travelers but also our intention to add additional seats at low cost, precisely when the market needs and demands them,” said Jorge Jiménez, Wingo's Vice President of Sales and Planning.
About the routes Please note that for the Bogotá-Cancún route, the company will offer three weekly flights starting June 17. Regarding Medellín-Cancún, this option will resume operations on June 16 with two weekly flights.
Meanwhile, the Bogotá-Curaçao route will be reactivated on Wednesday, June 18th, with twice-weekly flights. And, starting that same day, the Medellín-Curaçao route will be available with the same frequencies. Finally, Cali-Aruba will also operate twice-weekly starting June 16th. This adds six additional low-cost flights to the Netherlands Antilles from Colombia.

"If this increase in seats offered is projected, the addition amounts to more than 4,000 additional low-cost seats per week , reflecting significant growth in supply for these Caribbean destinations," the airline concluded in a statement.
