Free Sena courses to study languages other than English; here's how to sign up

The National Learning Service (Sena) offers the opportunity to take face-to-face training courses in French and Portuguese . Enrollment in these courses depends on availability. of the Training Centers.
These training programs are intended to support citizens in strengthening their professional and personal development, through learning and skills development. The courses are available for both young people and adults.

According to the Sena, there are two options to register specifically for French and Portuguese courses. The first is:
- Enter the Sofia Plus platform http://oferta.senasofiaplus.edu.co/sofia-oferta/.
- Click on the 'Short in-person courses' option.
- In the search engine, enter the language you want to register.
- You will be presented with a list of different course options, and you must choose the one that most interests you. (If you do not find the course that meets your requirements, you should check back periodically, as new courses are constantly being added).
The second option is to go to the nearest Training Center and request information about registration from the Academic Coordinator or the Bilingualism Professional . Please note that Colombians living abroad can also register. The requirements are:
- Have Colombian or foreign nationality with authorization to study in Colombia.
- Be at least 14 years old.
- Have command of basic computer elements, such as email, Internet and Microsoft programs (Power Point, Word, among others).

If you wish to enroll in these programs, please note that each course is structured into three levels: A1 (beginner), A2 (basic) and B1 (pre-intermediate), with a duration of 60 hours per level, spread over approximately six weeks. Upon completion of each level, you will receive a certificate of completion and language proficiency.
