Biofibra, the non-surgical hair implant that arrived in Colombia

This technique uses biocompatible fibers of Italian origin that are implanted one by one into the scalp without the need for surgery, cutting, or recovery time, offering an immediate and natural result.
Unlike methods such as FUE (follicular unit transplantation) or micropigmentation, biofiber does not require extracting hair from a donor area, making it ideal for patients who no longer have available follicles.
Furthermore, unlike FUE, it leaves no scars and can be removed if the patient so chooses. "It's approved by Invima (National Institute of Medical Sciences), which guarantees its safety and legality in the country," says Martínez.

The ideal candidates for this treatment are people over 30 years of age who are looking for a quick, non-surgical solution. "It's perfect for patients without a donor site, those who have undergone several transplants without achieving the desired density, women with androgenetic alopecia, or those who don't want to cut their hair," explains the executive.
Although the fibers aren't permanent, they last 4 to 10 years depending on care, and their maintenance isn't expensive. "At Mediarte, we offer financing options to make it affordable," she adds.
Regarding training in this technique, Martínez explains that Mediarte is the only center in Colombia certified by the Italian company to apply it. "We train professionals in how to implant the fibers: the correct angle, the amount per square centimeter, the appropriate color, and how to manage possible reactions, all to achieve a natural and symmetrical result," he explains.
