The emotional message from the mother of Miguel Díaz, son of Diomedes, when visiting him at the cemetery

In the last months of 2024 and January 2025, fans and followers of the life of vallenato singer Diomedes Díaz were aware of the health of one of his sons. Miguel Ángel Díaz, 39, suffered a sharp deterioration in his health that, over time, ended up taking his life after fighting the disease for months.

His illness and recovery attempts were documented by his mother, Yolanda Rincón, who posted updates on Miguel's health through social media and asked for help from anyone who could provide it. At one point, they even asked for a kidney donor due to his health problems.

The man suffered several serious health problems that left him in a coma on different occasions and, at one point, he was intubated and his integrity was seriously affected. After a few months, on January 18, he died after battling chronic kidney failure.

The man's funeral took place days later. His death raised several reactions among the singers and the people of his family who held a wake for him at the Los Olivos cemetery on the outskirts of Bogotá. Since then, not much information has been known about the family who were active on social media during the process of his illness.

A week after the first month of his death, which plunged the entire Díaz dynasty into mourning, his mother appeared on social media with an Instagram post in which she revealed part of the grief she has endured due to the death of her son.

In the photos published, the woman appears next to her son's grave, which, so far, only has the date of his birth and death engraved on it. On top of it, some flowers can be seen brought by his family to honour the deceased.

In the description, the woman sent a message to her followers, family and friends. " Today I went with my nephew to the cemetery. At first it hurt me a lot to go and leave my son there alone , but God made me understand that there was only what was left of his body with that terrible disease," began the text in which she showed her process after the death of her son.

After this, the woman spoke about spirituality and the ways in which she has tried to accept her new reality after death, mentioning that "her spirit had transcended the spiritual realm to which it now belongs and that it is more alive than ever."

After this message, the woman said that she had a personalized tombstone made for her son's grave but that, for now, it has not been installed in the field where the deceased lies.

Finally, the woman thanked the people who took the time to send messages of support after the bad time she went through following Miguel Ángel's illness and death. The post has already gathered thousands of 'likes' and messages of strength from her followers.
