#54 – The Remise Fourage in Berlin – with Fabian Freytag
Architect and interior designer Fabian Freytag is one of Germany's most interesting designers. Born in Hamburg, he studied architecture in Berlin and has been based in Berlin Mitte with his Fabian Freytag Studio since 2012. Antje Wewer visited him in his "Fourage-Handlung" (Fourage Shop) shed on Schröderstrasse. Where horse feed was once sold, Freytag has given free rein to his imagination on three floors.
His studio is on the ground floor of the brick shed, the Fabian Freytag Suite – with a modern tiki bar and kitchen – is on the first floor, and upstairs he lives with his partner in a compactly furnished apartment with Portofino flair.
The 41-year-old explains why decorating always requires a thrill, why he chose the color peach for his home, and why one shouldn't put off dreams.
