October and November are the months with the highest festival density. This is also when most new productions launch. Audiences are spoiled for choice. But this is also an ambivalent time for organizers: on the one hand, it's fun to contribute programs to this diverse offering, thus becoming part of a gigantic overall event. On the other hand, there's the danger of being drowned out. Despite the metropolitan myth, the audience potential turns out to be soberingly limited.
