The Best Sales to Shop This Week That Aren't Amazon Prime Day

When it first started, Amazon Prime Day was exactly that: one day of fresh deals meant to hold Amazon lovers over until the best deals of the year drop on Black Friday. That was in 2015. Ten years later, however, Prime Day has evolved into a biannual shopping event that rivals Black Friday in almost every way. The deals are deep, widespread, and leave Prime members with no option but to pull out their (digital) wallets. And much like Black Friday has taken over the entire week of Thanksgiving, Prime Day is now more than a single-day event. Indeed, this year's sale is a whopping four days long.
As Prime Day has grown, other brands and retailers have taken notice, setting up competing Prime Day-adjacent sales to try to beat Bezos & Co. at its own game. If you want to buy a new TV or have been waiting for a discount on a WiFi extender, Amazon is still your best bet. However, if you're looking for summer essentials, outdoor gear, or discounted home goods, a Prime Day competitor sale might be your best bet. Below, we outline the best deals from everywhere except Amazon, including Huckberry, J.Crew, REI, Nordstrom, Hoka, and more.
Brooks BrothersPrep may have come in and out of style over the past few decades, but Brooks Brothers has never wavered; for them, prep is always the move. To get their fantastic button-downs, summer shorts, and other prep classics into the hands of the masses, they're slashing prices by 30% during the July 4th sale, which runs through 11:59 pm on July 8th.
If you've been waiting to replace your sheets or need a new duvet cover, you need to head to Cozy Earth for a refresh. The brand makes some of the best summer-ready linens we've tested lately, and it now offers more than just linens—its pajamas and apparel basics are darn good, too. Through July 11th, Esquire readers can save 35% sitewide with code ESQUIRE.
FilsonIf we're talking about timeless classics that turn into heirloom pieces, Filson is one of the best brands in the business. Their waxed jackets and briefcases are staples in our wardrobes, and their Jac-Shirts are perfect for crisp summer evenings on the range or in the mountains. They aren't having a sale, per se, but their outlet is chock-full of steals that you can't miss this week.
HokaIf running, hiking, or logging thousands of steps are part of your summer plans, you should snag a pair of Hokas to make the miles go by a bit easier. Right now, you can save on the trail-killing Mafate 4s or the speedy Mach 6s, among other options.
HuckberryHuckberry is a go-to for all things shopping year-round, but thanks to a robust sale section that's loaded with steals, the retailer easily outstrips Amazon Prime when it comes to quality and quantity. You can save on summer apparel and gear that you can use right away, or load up on winter gear that you won't be able to find on sale a few months from now.
J.CrewMall brands are back, baby. Maybe they never left, but either way, in 2025, J.Crew is a must-shop for any sartorial-minded guy. The brand's website is a bit of a revolving door of discounts, but their current deal is impossible to pass up: 70% off sale items with code EXTRA. This means rugbies for $35, dress shirts for $37, and much more.
LululemonBelieve it or not, even Lululemon is getting in on the action. The brand's "We Made Too Much" section is full of summer steals, from running shorts and hoodies to golf shirts and date night staples.
NordstromThe Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of the best events in fashion. The main sale starts on July 12, but you can preview the deals and build a cart right now. Until then, you can shop the retailer's whopping sale section.
REISummer may be a great time to flex your style and get a 'fit off, but it's also a great time to get outside and touch some grass. If you need a new tent, a day pack, or a Yeti cooler, REI is offering some excellent deals to kick off summer.
TargetTarget isn't known for its online presence, but during Circle Week, the retailer's Prime Day competitor sale, the e-c0mmerce deals are flowing. Through July 12th, you can save 30% on tees and tanks for the hot days to come, 40% on tech and gaming, 40% off bedding, and more. The only catch? For most deals, you'll need a Target Circle account, which will run you $99/year.
Todd SnyderTodd Snyder is one of our forever favorites from head to toe with classics that pay homage to the past while being definitively present. The brand's huge summer sale is knocking prices down by up to 50% on almost 500 items.
VuoriVuori has gone from an athleisure upstart to a mainstay in the wardrobe of just about every guy in America. The brand's End of Season sale is can't-miss, offering savings on tees, polos, shorts, loungewear, and golf apparel.
WalmartMuch like Target, Walmart's online shop has been overshadowed by Amazon, but the retailer has spent the past few years making up for that, dropping insane discounts and some great perks that go with its W+ membership. Through 7/13, you can save up to 50% on apparel, appliances, tech gadgets, and more.
WayfairThe mega-retailer has budget picks, mid-range upgrades, and top-tier grails all in one place, and they know how to throw a sale. Right now, you can save up to 70% sitewide. We recommend checking out their outdoor and living room furniture, but you can also save on linens, home improvement, and kitchen appliances.
West ElmA one-stop-shop for all things home-related, West Elm has anything you need to add a bit of style to your home. Right now, you can save up to 40% on this season's outdoor furniture and up to 50% in the brand's sale section.
