Malia Obama Shows Off Her Cool Girl Summer Style in Denim Overalls — See Photo

If you are in the middle of building your ideal summer wardrobe and in need of some inspo, Malia Obama is once again here to help. After giving us her version of the perfect nighttime summer uniform, the budding director is now showing off the daytime version of her summer uniform, and it includes a denim staple: Overalls.

On July 2, 2025, Malia Obama was spotted grabbing a bite to eat with friends at a restaurant on Beverly Boulevard in Los Angeles, wearing the quintessential effortlessly cool girl 'fit of the summer. Obama was photographed sporting her trademark copper hair in a half-updo with face-framing tendrils, while donning a pair of denim overalls over a simple white cami top.

Overalls are a year-round staple, but Obama opted for a more summer-appropriate take on the trend, going for a mini dress version of the denim classic. (If you love the shortness of the mini dress but are not a fan of skirts, you can also opt for a mini pants version, or just cut off your old long overalls if you are feeling crafty!)

Obama rounded off her outfit with a pair of small, rectangular, blue-tinted sunglasses, tiny silver hoop earrings, black mid-boot-style sneakers, and a large, colorful tote bag featuring a patchwork-like pattern. (We know she loves a carryall!)
