Katie Price to team up with Louis Theroux as unlikely duo embark on new project

Katie Price is reportedly in discussions with a TV icon to produce her own BBC documentary.
The 46-year-old former glamour model is said to have engaged in talks with Louis Theroux's production company about a potential new series. Eager to offer fans a deeper insight into her life, Katie believes that BAFTA-winning documentarian Louis is the right person to bring her story to the screen.
Louis recently produced Boybands Forever, a BBC2 documentary that featured members of legendary 90s boybands such as Take That, East 17, 911, and Westlife. The series explored their meteoric rise to fame and the personal struggles they encountered in the aftermath of their success.
Now, Katie is hoping to collaborate with Louis on her own revealing project. A source told The Sun: "Katie has been in talks with Louis’ production company about creating a BBC documentary about her life.
"She appeared on Louis’ podcast and made a strong impression - he finds her incredibly intriguing and believes the public hasn’t seen the full picture of who she is. While no official deal has been finalized yet, Katie has told friends she is eager to see this project come to life."
Katie is of course no stranger to television, having fronted and participated in numerous reality shows over the years. She appeared on The Louis Theroux Podcast last October, discussing her experiences with love and cosmetic surgery.
More recently, she starred in the Channel 4 documentary Katie Price: Making Babies, which chronicled her IVF journey during her engagement to ex-fiancé Carl Woods. The show captured emotional moments, including her discovery that the IVF treatment had not been successful and the subsequent breakdown of her relationship.
Following the UK airing of the documentary last month, Katie dropped hints about a potential collaboration with Theroux. While attending The Gossies 2025 in Dublin, Ireland, she was asked if she had received offers for new reality TV projects. Her response: "The thing is, I always say, I don't need to do other people's reality shows because I have my own. So watch this space for this year."
Katie has built a long history in reality TV, dating back to her 2002 documentary Jordan: The Truth About Me. This was followed by two additional standalone features before she launched the Katie & Peter franchise during her marriage to Peter Andre. In recent years, she has fronted two BBC documentaries focused on life with her disabled son, Harvey, 22. Last year, she confirmed that the BBC is keen to produce a third installment featuring the mother-son duo.
Katie also took on a home renovation challenge in Mucky Mansion, a series that followed her efforts to restore her once-luxurious property. However, following two bankruptcies, she has since lost ownership of the house, bringing an end to the show. With her TV career spanning over two decades, Katie remains a major figure in the reality and documentary world - leaving fans eagerly awaiting what’s next.
The Mirror has approached Katie's representatives for comment on this story.
