Inside Dating Naked UK host Rylan Clark's love life from divorce to 'secret' dates

Rylan Clark is set to return as host for a fresh series of the provocative dating programme.

Dating Naked UK will make its comeback on August 29 via Paramount Plus, delivering another dose of drama and twists and turns. True to form, the latest batch of singletons will shed their clothes entirely, going fully naked in their quest for romance.

The divisive programme initially launched in the UK during 2024 after achieving massive popularity in America. However, it has sparked debate amongst viewers due to participants exposing everything.

A jaw-dropping trailer was previously unveiled featuring contestants exclaiming "this is crazy", whilst a cautionary message warned audiences through voiceover: "be warned; the nudity in this show is completely uncensored.", reports the Daily Star.

Yet as this popular programme makes its return to our screens, who exactly is X Factor hopeful turned This Morning presenter Rylan Clark and has he discovered love?

Rylan Clark, who was actually born Ross Richard, has become recognised as one of television's most extravagant personalities, boasting numerous hosting roles. However, it was his appearance on X Factor that catapulted him to celebrity status.

The presenter featured on the singing competition during 2012, ultimately securing fifth position. Throughout the series, Rylan competed within the boys' section alongside eventual champion James Arthur, receiving guidance from Pussycat Dolls vocalist Nicole Scherzinger.

Reports suggest that Rylan, originally known as Kielan during his early modelling days, adopted the name Rylan after a visit to WH Smith where he browsed through the 'R' section of a baby names book. Now recognised as Rylan Clark or simply Rylan, the star has made appearances on Celebrity Big Brother, Supermarket Sweep and Eurovision, in addition to his current role on This Morning.

Rylan was previously married, having separated from ex-husband Dan Neal in 2021 after six years. The Daily Mail reported that Rylan confessed to feeling like a "failure" following their split.

The couple first met on Big Brother's Bit on the Side, sparking a romance that blossomed over time. In 2015, they exchanged vows in a glamorous ceremony attended by celebrities such as Katie Price and Amy Childs.

However, reports in 2021 revealed that Rylan announced their separation, confessing to his own infidelity. In his memoir, Rylan wrote: "I have no excuses for what I did way back then, but I had my reasons. I think for many years I had felt a bit like an imposter. That nothing I was doing was right or not quite good enough."

Recently, Rylan has been the subject of speculation, with fans discussing rumours that he could be secretly dating Rob Rinder. According to the Mirror, Rob and Rylan initially teamed up for BBC Two's Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour.

The three-part series witnessed the pair discovering various destinations including Venice, Florence and Rome whilst staying active across social media platforms. Supporters have expressed hopes for a potential romantic connection, with one admirer commenting on Rylan's Instagram: "I so want you both to be a couple. 2 of my favourite genuine people."

Another supporter commented: "This is your man rylan hope your expectations and dreams come true."

Nevertheless, it was previously reported that Rylan dismissed these suggestions after revealing he was actually dating someone. The disclosure emerged during a recent episode of his BBC Radio 2 programme Rylan on Saturday when he confided to co-presenter Lottie: "I might have said that I'm... it feels weird saying it on the radio!".

Rylan continued by saying he had "kept it a secret for so long" before confirming that he was "seeing someone". Yet, he has not disclosed the identity of his mysterious partner.

Dating Naked UK makes a comeback for a second series on Paramount Plus on August 29. Rylan previously commented: "Dating Naked is back! This time you know what you're signing up for, or at least you think you do.

"This year we're taking it up a notch, working even harder to help our brilliant cast find their perfect match and battle it out for a £50,000 prize pot. I can't wait for you to meet our brand new daters, and maybe a familiar face or two."

Despite contestants stripping down in the quest for love, host Rylan will stay fully dressed as he introduces more shocking twists and turns. The first two episodes will be released this week, and weekly after that.
