BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim Wore These Trending Toe Sneakers

BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim Wore These Trending Toe Sneakers

BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim is no stranger to embracing a trend. She's been known to give her own spin on the classic French tip nail, embrace a more boho-friendly version of the naked dress trend, and has continued to serve in Chanel as one of their brand ambassadors. But when Jennie stepped out in a pair of freaky and controversial shoes, it felt in line with her own sense of style.

The K-Pop star was recently photographed in a more casual, dressed-down look that would otherwise be pretty standard for an off-duty global superstar. Jennie wore a pair of grey sweatpants with a blue and white crocheted sleeveless sweater, along with a grey hat. All of which are surely designer items. But instead of focusing on her eclectic shirt and pants combo, fans were zooming in on what Jennie had on her feet.

Jennie Kim was strutting around in a pair of Vibram V-Soul toe shoes that Vogue named the “freaky-chic shoe trend of 2025." The machine-washable V-Soul shoe is meant for “indoor alternative fitness," according to the description, including “functional fitness, plyometrics, Pilates and Yoga, among other activities.” The description doesn't mention anything about a casual stroll as a global pop star.

Whether it's because Jennie was spotted wearing the shoe out and about, or if it's because the V-Soul shoe has been trending this year already, the Ivory Dusty Pink colored shoe is completely sold out online.

Teen Vogue editor Sara Delgado took the V-Soul shoes for a spin, testing them out for 12 hours and over 25,000 steps to see just how comfortable they are. In her words: “I put my Vibrams on at around 9 a.m. and wore them for 12 consecutive hours, and never did they feel uncomfortable, nor did I feel the need to adjust them or take them off. However, walking is a completely different experience when you have them on.”

She continued: “That said, it also does feel like walking is more of a conscious effort since you do the full sole to ground movement on your own, without the help of any air chambers or cushioning for a little boost.”

Maybe Jennie is onto something with this barely-there shoe.
