New development in Güler Kaderli's death! Her boyfriend claimed suicide, the prosecutor's office demanded life imprisonment.
In Istanbul's Bahçelievler district, 41-year-old Güler Kaderli died last June after falling from the apartment belonging to her boyfriend, Lütfü Cihangir Ş. The Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the suspicious death. In her statement, Lütfü Cihangir Ş. claimed there was no argument and that Kaderli threw herself from the window.
According to Sabah newspaper, neighbor Ahmet E. said the couple fought frequently and that the suspect shouted "He committed suicide" when he saw the police.
The Forensic Medicine report determined that Kaderli died from multiple fractures and brain hemorrhage as a result of the fall.
The prosecutor's office deemed that there was no reason for the woman's suicide and demanded that Lütfü Cihangir Ş. be sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of "premeditated murder of a woman."
