Karanlıkdere Waterfall, also known as Musalı Waterfall or Suuçtu Waterfall, is one of the hidden natural wonders of Mersin. Located between the villages of Darısekisi and Musalı, this waterfall is easily accessible from Boğazpınar village. However, it takes about 30 minutes of descent to reach the waterfall. The ascent may be a bit tiring, but it is definitely worth it!

The road to Karanlıkdere Waterfall is quite difficult and not suitable for off-road vehicles. You may have difficulty even with pickup 4×4 type vehicles. Going on foot is also quite difficult. However, when you reach the waterfall, you will encounter a view that will make you forget all your tiredness.

It is very important to protect this beautiful natural wonder. Unfortunately, garbage can be seen on the road to the waterfall and its surroundings. Please be environmentally friendly and protect nature during your visit.

Unlike popular waterfalls such as Düden and Manavgat in Antalya, Yerköprü in Mersin and Tortum in Erzurum, Karanlıkdere Waterfall is not very well known. There are two main reasons for this: the waterfall is located in a remote area and the irregular water regime of the stream. The waterfall, which is abundant in the autumn and winter months, almost completely dries up in the summer due to the dry Mediterranean climate. For this reason, Karanlıkdere Waterfall is most visited in the spring months.

• Transportation : You can easily reach the village, but after the village it is impossible to go down by car. You have to walk up and down.
