When the CHP municipality did not pay the workers their wages and overtime, the workers quit their jobs: Adana turned into a garbage dump!

Citizens and shopkeepers reacted to the municipality, especially because the garbage that accumulated in the Fishmongers and Butchers' Bazaar was not collected. One of the shopkeepers, Salman Esmeray (43), expressed his reaction by saying, "Look at the situation in Adana, the 5th largest city in Turkey, it is miserable. Customers do not come here because of the bad smell. How can a mayor not give the sweat of his employees? But Mayor Oya should not forget that there is a next term for this. She listed her promises when she came here and asked for votes. If a municipality does not collect our garbage, what is Oya Tekin doing in that mayor's seat?"
PROMISES WERE NOT KEPT
Meanwhile, workers who have not been able to receive their wages and overtime since the local elections gathered in front of Seyhan Municipality and protested. Genel-İş Adana Branch Secretary No. 1 Savaş Kartal, who made a statement on behalf of the workers, said, "We have held continuous meetings with Seyhan Municipality management and continue to do so. However, we have not achieved any results. The payment promises made have not been kept. Our workers continue to suffer. The workers' overdue receivables must be paid. The threats of dismissal must be stopped. In addition, the compensations of those who have retired have not been paid to date."
