An operation was carried out against many celebrities who were investigated for using drugs or stimulants by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau.
In an operation conducted by teams from the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command, celebrities including Dilan Polat, Engin Polat, İrem Derici, Kubilay Aka, Kaan Yıldırım, Hadise Açıkgöz, Berrak Tüzünataç, Duygu Özaslan Mutaf, Demet Evgar Babataş, Zeynep Meriç Aral Keskin, Özge Özpirinçci, Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Feyza Altun, Derin Talu, Deren Talu, Ziynet Sali, Birce Akalay, Metin Akdülger, and Ceren Moray Orcan were taken from their homes. They were taken to the Provincial Gendarmerie Command for statements and blood samples to be taken.

Last August, İrem Derici performed at the wedding of her close friends Burak Bulut and Eda Sakız, and received the biggest surprise of her life. Melih Kunukçu got down on one knee and proposed to Derici, to which the famous singer replied, "I'm experiencing the biggest shock of my life. Yes, forever!"
