Gap's cultural resurgence needs to be studied. Between the recent nostalgic wave of '90s and '00s-inspired threads and cool celebrities like Timothée Chalamet wearing custom pieces on red carpets, it's becoming a brand we actually want to wear again.
And we have to say that the Gap's sale section is looking particularly good right now. Here are the 12 items we suggest adding to your cart ASAP:
This sale has a lot to appreciate, including a pair of loose jeans that takes us back to Gap's glory days of the '90s and sweaters made with the brand's best-selling CashSoft fabric. If we had to choose one discount to call out, though, it's the Extra Heavyweight French Terry Hoodie, which is 20 percent off for a limited time. For what it's worth, our editors have dubbed it the best heavyweight hoodie.
"This is my platonic ideal of a hoodie," commerce editor Luke Guillory says. "It fits off the shoulders and cropped at my natural waist, and the heavyweight fabric is just perfect. It's not restrictive, so I could wear it for a workout. But it also looks great under a coat for a grocery run."
Although the particular hoodie we loved was designed in partnership with content creator Julia Huynh and is no longer available, Gap has essentially the same sweatshirt available in different colors.
