Dentist shot in the head laid to rest

The incident in Izmir took place on February 21 at around 17:00 in a flat on the second floor of an apartment building on Ali Çetinkaya Boulevard in the Alsancak Kültür Neighborhood. Allegedly, Mustafa Ercan (34), with whom Mehmet Emrah Düşmez (49), who works as a dentist at an oral and dental health center, had a feud, came to his flat. Mustafa Ercan then took Düşmez’s phone, took a picture of him covered in blood, sent it to his mother, and ran away. The mother, who saw her son being shot, reported the situation to the police. Health and police teams were dispatched to the address upon notification. Düşmez was taken to Tepecik Education and Research Hospital after the health team’s first intervention. The Public Security Branch Directorate Homicide Bureau, SAM Bureau, Motorcycle Police Teams, Intelligence Branch Directorate and Konak District Police Department teams started working to catch Mustafa Ercan.
