The unexpected reason for the breakup of the scandalous group tATu has been revealed.

Yulia Volkova and Lena Katina, members of the iconic duo t.A.T.u., explained on "Show Volya" that their return to the stage was prompted by numerous requests from managers and fans. The artists admitted that contemporary musical trends influenced their interpretation of their legendary hit "Ya Soshla S Uma."

The singers attributed the group's breakup to escalating age differences. There comes a time when people grow up and begin to irritate each other, they commented, adding that the final breakup occurred after a serious conflict: "We just had a huge fight."

After a nine-year hiatus, the band resumed performing in September 2022 with a concert in Minsk. In August 2025, a new stage of their creative career was announced: a world tour with support from British musician Sting.

It should be added that, according to the artists, persistent requests from the organizers and devoted fans played a key role in the decision to reunite.
