Temporary flight restrictions were introduced at airports in Samara, Sochi, and Gelendzhik early on Wednesday morning, September 24. Rosaviatsiya spokesperson Artem Korenyako announced this on his Telegram channel.

"Sochi, Gelendzhik, and Samara (Kurumoch) airports. Temporary restrictions on aircraft arrivals and departures have been introduced," the statement reads.

The restrictions have been introduced to ensure the safety of aircraft flights.

Restrictions were previously reported at Volgograd Airport . The airport was closed to aircraft around midnight, and Rosaviatsiya has not yet announced the lifting of the restrictions.
