Dudu Azevedo's statement about dating an athlete

Dudu Azevedo, with a long career in Brazilian television, recently entered a new chapter in his personal life. The actor revealed that he is in a relationship with Marcela Witt, a kitesurfer and presenter on Canal OFF, with whom he shares similarities in terms of lifestyle and relationship with nature.

The confirmation of their relationship took place on social media on Tuesday (June 17), when Dudu posted photos with Marcela at Praia do Preá, in Ceará. In the caption, he wrote: "Just waiting for the right wind. It will come one day." Marcela's response was direct: "I love you."

According to the actor himself, the relationship began gradually. "We didn't get close immediately, it was spread out over time. We knew each other, we knew who was who," he said in an interview with gshow. He also described the beginning of the romance as something light and natural: "The truth is that this meeting was meant to happen, because when it happened it was very natural, very fluid."

The connection between the two grew stronger after a curious episode: Marcela adopted one of Dudu's puppies. From that moment on, according to the actor, they realized they had a lot in common. "It's been wonderful. Marcela has brought great joy into my life," he said. He also highlighted the couple's lightheartedness and mutual enthusiasm: "We take care of each other."

In an interview with gshow, Dudu explained that their shared passion for sports was one of the things that brought them together. "Marcela is an athlete, and I've always been an amateur sportsperson," he said. The actor even said that he was "converted" to kitesurfing: "She took me to Ceará to learn. She got me started — today I consider myself a kiteboarder thanks to her."

Although he is known for keeping his personal life private, the actor said he decided to share this moment because he recognizes the value of social media as an extension of life. "I am very discreet about my personal life, but I am happy to be able to share good things and know that people are excited about it," he said in an interview with the newspaper O Globo.

At 46, Dudu has a six-year-old son, Joaquim, from a previous relationship with doctor Fernanda Mader. Marcela, on the other hand, has a history of adventures around the world and leads a nomadic lifestyle, which, according to him, has brought learning and new perspectives to the couple's routine.
