At 90, Renato Aragão gives a rare interview and answers whether a woman is 'controlling'

Renato Aragão gave a rare long-term interview to the YouTube channel Inteligência Ltda., published on Friday night, the 26th. After turning 90 years old earlier this year, the comedian has become accustomed to giving only short, specific statements to the press.

At one point, presenter Rogério Vilela asked: "I've seen people saying that Lílian [Aragão, his wife] is very controlling. Is that true or not?"

Renato responded, with good humor: "It's true. [She] controls everything. She just doesn't control my steps because she has another step to take, otherwise she would go along too [Laughs]. Partner in everything, everything I do."

Lílian, who also participated in the conversation, held at the comedian's house, defended herself: "I don't consider myself a controller. I've always been a leader, since I was a child. I'm a Leo, I like to give orders, to be the leader in everything."

Vilela also highlighted some of the difficulties Renato Aragão faced due to his age during the interview: "Didi would get tired. He's already quite old and couldn't talk for long. He had to remember things, ruminate on memories, and get emotional. So we had to stop recording several times. We stopped three, four, five times."
