A unique castle from a TV hit. This is how much you'll pay for accommodation.

The dark and majestic castle is always the main set for the popular TV show "Traitors." It will soon return to our screens, but we won't see the usual Mielmont in Belgium there, but a treasure from a completely different country. Find out what we know about it.
New castle from the "Traitors" programThis time, we'll be transported to the 18th-century Château de Bournel in France. This vast, exclusive residence now functions as a hotel and restaurant. It's located in Cubry, in the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region, less than 300 km from Lyon and a whopping 450 km from Paris. Interestingly, it's much closer from Switzerland. For example, it's about 200 km from Geneva.
It's not just the property itself that matters, but also its surroundings. They are rich in tourist attractions and entertainment centers. They are also dominated by beautiful nature, and most importantly, peace, as this is not an overly popular region.
Bournazel Castle, which we'll see in the third season of "Traitors," is surrounded by forests and hills, and has a majestic and historic feel. As usual, we'll see richly decorated rooms, a hall with a round table, a dining room, and a living room.
The exterior is impressive, with Versailles-style gardens, a golf course, a unique diamond-patterned glazed roof, and neo-Gothic walls. Just one look at the building is enough to make you want to peek inside... at least for a moment.
Contestants on the "Traitors" show will be thrilled to be able to stay overnight in such royal chambers. This place is not open to the public, and getting there requires some effort. The interiors of Bournel Castle are rented out for ceremonial events, including weddings. Importantly, Chateau de Bournel offers accommodations for up to 60 people in 16 rooms and an additional four rooms in a private tower. In addition, there are six luxurious suites.
The castle boasts magnificent artwork, rich tapestries, chandeliers, high ceilings, and a regal atmosphere. The wedding ceremony can be held in the local chapel, where the murals reflect the famous frescoes from the Cathedral of St. Francis in Assisi.
We'll book our accommodation through Airbnb, among other platforms. We checked availability for the first weekend of December (from December 5th to 7th) for two adults and found that the price for two nights is PLN 1,553.85. Would you like to visit?
