The second indexation will take place in 2025. 84% of respondents say they have no doubts.

- The survey shows that as many as 84% of Poles support the idea of introducing a second pension indexation in 2025, which shows the scale of social dissatisfaction.
- The government emphasizes that a decision on additional indexation will only be possible when inflation exceeds 5%, and forecasts for next year indicate a level of 3.9%.
- According to opposition politicians, the lack of a second indexation this year is a mistake, as seniors are increasingly feeling the rising costs of living, and an additional increase could actually improve their financial situation.
Seniors are increasingly feeling the effects of rising living costs, which are placing a significant strain on their household budgets. Consequently, in a survey conducted by the Pollster Research Institute on behalf of "Super Express," Poles were asked whether a second pension indexation should be paid in 2025.
The vast majority of respondents, 84%, answered this question affirmatively, demonstrating clear social expectations . Only 16% of those surveyed expressed opposition to this solution.
During the election campaign, the parties forming the current government coalition declared that they would strive to introduce a second indexation of pensions and disability benefits, arguing that this was necessary to respond to constantly rising prices.
According to the general feeling, this year's increase did not compensate for the rising costs of living, says Dr. Elżbieta Ostrowska, head of the Polish Association of Pensioners.
At this time, however, the government has no plans to implement a second indexation . According to announcements, the increase will only occur when inflation exceeds 5%. Meanwhile, forecasts for 2025 indicate that the rate will remain at 3.9%.
Will the budget allow for greater spending next year? It's understandable that Poles support a benefit increase. A second indexation would be beneficial for seniors, New Left MP Anna Maria Żukowska commented on the poll results.
It is impossible to meet the expectations of all citizens .
However, the current state budget situation is not conducive to such decisions, which I deeply regret. We have a significant public finance deficit inherited from the PiS government, and we need to increase military spending and plug holes in the National Health Fund. I hope that next year there will be budget space for a second pension indexation, because a dignified life for seniors is a testament to the country's prosperity," the MP adds.
The survey was conducted by the Pollster Research Institute on September 10-11, 2025, using the CAWI method. The sample included 1,020 adult residents of Poland and was constructed to be representative of the entire population of people over the age of 18. The margin of statistical error was estimated at approximately 3%.
