President Andrzej Duda has vetoed the act reducing health insurance contributions for entrepreneurs, informed the head of his office, Małgorzata Paprocka.
The President decided to submit the bill with a request for its reconsideration by the Sejm, i.e. to veto the bill.
The decision of Andrzej Duda was announced by the head of the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland, Małgorzata Paprocka. She pointed out the lack of social consultations.
- There were no consultations on such an important act that has such consequences for all Poles and the president actually replaced the government in order to create consultations, they took place at the first possible date, the president listened and made a decision - she explained.
The day before, the president met with representatives of the Social Dialogue Council on this matter.
When asked why Andrzej Duda made the decision so late, she recalled that he had time to do so until May 15.
