A look towards the sea
The traveling exhibition will tour the Alliance Française in Santo Domingo, then move on to the German Dominican Center and finally to the Alliance Française in Santiago.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Fotomar is an invitation to confront the tensions affecting the Dominican Republic's marine and coastal ecosystems .
Through documentary photography , this exhibition proposes a profound reflection on the human impact on the ocean and the ways in which images can become tools of protest, memory, and environmental awareness.
The goal is to promote marine conservation through art, recognizing the power of photography to generate dialogue and transformation.
Three urgent perspectives on the sea, chosen by a jury composed of leading figures in photography, marine biology , and cultural diplomacy, summarize the challenges facing our coasts with narrative force and visual excellence.
